[November 27, 2013 – Bethlehem, PA] – EcoTech Marine is pleased to announce that it has received the 2013 Aquarium Specialty MVP Award for its VorTech Series of wave-making pumps. This is the first year that Aquarium Specialty, a top online aquarium retailer and blog, has run its Most Valuable Product (MVP) Awards, which it plans to continue as an annual award.
The awards recognize aquarium supply manufacturers and products that have excelled in a number of areas, including customer feedback; value; reliability; innovation; build quality; product support; and customer service. More than 7,000 products from 200 manufacturers were considered for this year’s inaugural award.
“These award-winning wave makers work well as stand-alones in addition to communicating with one another and with their flagship LED fixtures, the Radion Gen 2 and Radion Pro,” wrote Scott Groseclose, president at Aquarium Specialty on the awards page blog. “Showing unmatched innovation, EcoTech Marine continues to unleash new products while they consistently produce quality wavemakers.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by Aquarium Specialty. We are pleased that EcoTech’s entire series of VorTech pumps were recognized as the industry leaders in the Wavemaker category,” said EcoTech Marine Co-Founder Justin Lawyer. “Continuous improvement is a core tenet at EcoTech Marine and we strive to produce the most innovative, technologically advanced products to help aquarists get the most out of their tanks. This award is proof-positive that we are listening to the needs of our customers and keeps us motivated to stay on the track of innovation that will continue to revolutionize the industry.”
The EcoTech series of VorTech pumps offer reliable performance at a variety of price points. With or without the EcoSmart wireless driver, all VorTechs minimize the intrusion of equipment in an aquarist’s tank by using a bracket-less design, allowing the motor to be placed on the outside of the aquarium. A magnetic field transfers torque through the aquarium wall to the propeller inside the tank.
With three models to choose from, the MP10, MP40 and MP60 produce water flow from between 1,000 and 7,500 gallons per hour and creates life like waves in tanks from 2.5 to 1,000+ gallons.
