Aquarius Reef Base Funding Cut

It’s a sad day for those who live underwater. Funding has been cut for Aquarius Reef Base, a marvel of engineering that has hosted professionals from marine researchers to NASA astronauts. Underwater bases like the Aquarius (currently the last of its kind) have allowed for an unprecedented view at what life is truly like underwater, from waking up to fish zooming by a viewport to cleaning corals that have crept into bolts and hinges. While funding has been eliminated for the one-of-a-kind habitat, scientists and other groups are attempting to save it through fundraisers and educational events.
